Any Other Year
Ask me on any given day and these releases could easily crack my top 20.

Savak- Cut Ups
Inspired, original, varied rock that keeps you guessing but wanting more.

Beck- Colors
Beck's dance club album. Colors review.

The Beaches- Second of Spring
Indie low-fi rock that keeps me believing in music.

JD McPherson- Undivided Heart & Soul
Another damn good slice of retro from JD that doesn't tread monotony.

Cheap Trick- We're All Alright
Shocking. Another excellent effort by the eternal rock band. We're All Alright review.

Cayetana- New Kind of Normal
Think indie, edgier, punk Cranberries.

Waxahatchee- Out In the Storm
Damn good break up album with a bit more rock than last one.

St. Vincent- Masseducation
Give it a few listens and you will get that eureka moment. Creative and bold.

Sylvan Esso- What Now
Nothing wrong with your record player- just creativity. Catchy and..... creative.

All Them Witches- Sleeping Through the War
Meandering, stoner-ish, unpredictable guitar rock.

For Fans of Band or Genre
Albums I liked but due to the fact I'm a fan or like the style.

Anti-Flag- American Fall
Glossier socially aware punk that is parts Green Day, Rancid and Blink 182.

METZ- Strange Peace
Solid thrashing noise. Strange Peace review.

Mogwai- Every Country's Sun
Every Country's Sun review.

LCD Soundsystem- American Dream
Decent but not the Earth shattering masterpiece some say. American Dream review.

Brother Ali- All The Beauty In This Whole Life
Pretty standard issue for Monsignor Ali.

The National- Sleep Well Beast
Good but why get bonkers cuz they used some sound effects

Sarah Shook & The Disarmers
Shit-kicking saloon attitude. 'Nuff said.

Royal Blood- How Did We Get So Dark
Nothing new on 2nd go around, but if you like first you'll like this.

Mark Lanegan- Gargoyle
No one does dour and down more enjoyably.

Nikki Lane- Highway Queen
Wispy Nashville twanger that sound a bit Texas.

Ty Segal- Ty Segal
Basically what you would expect. Freakout guitar.

Not Seeing It
Artists I'm a fan of but just didn't bring the goods for me.

Jessica Boudreaux- No Fury
Poppier than Summer Cannibals but just feels too contrite.

J Roddy Walston- Destroyer of the Soft Life
Destroyer of the Soft Life review.

Dan Baird- So Low
Yep Low.

Orwells- Terrible Human Beings
I didn't hate this but it wasn't as remotely fun as last outing.

White Reaper- World's Best American Band

I'm in the minority it appears but I hear nothing special. Sound like a weak 80's rock band.
